Hello 2022! Pace yourself.

I hope everyone is doing well and starting 2022 in whatever way best fits you and your family. We had fun on New Year’s Eve being together and seeing if the kids would make it to midnight. I found myself a day later looking back at old pictures and videos. The more I looked back, the more grateful I felt. Grateful for how far we have come and how well they are doing given the challenges we have all faced.

The past two years have been difficult for so many different reasons but I am hopeful that the years ahead will be so much better. I look forward to taking pictures of anything that brings a smile to our face whether it is us being silly, going on a trip or simply watching the dogs play. Not every moment can be joyful but having those smiles to look at on our devices at any given moment sure does help balance everything out.

As we move into a new calendar year, I realized that for the kids it is just a new number. They are in the same grade they were just a few days ago. It was almost like they wondered what all the fuss was about. So, I thought ‘okay, no fuss; just pace yourself”.

Yes, there are things I would like to accomplish this year but I will try not to beat myself up if I don’t get to everything. Pace yourself. Do what you can when you can. Every single thing I can achieve will be a moment to be proud of and then I can replace it with a new concept or goal I want to bring to life. Pace yourself. Enjoy each achievement. Hit the restart button if that is what brings peace into your heart and mind. Pace yourself. Even restarting a mindset takes time. Oh…and it is okay to restart more than once. You would surely laugh or at least crack a smile if I told you how many times I have restarted my introduction sessions in my meditation app!

Pace yourself. Enjoy the process of whatever you choose to do with your New Year plans. It’s gonna be great!
