Just my experience…
Happy New Year!!!
When I got up today, on the first day of this new year with new hopes for better days for everyone in the upcoming year, I thought it would be a good day to take the plunge. You see, I am not much of a social media person. So, for me to start talking about our lives on-line does make me a little uncomfortable. However, if I can help anyone, then that is worth it to me to step out of my comfort zone. Next week, I will start from our beginning in the hopes that it will shed some light for other parents/caregivers of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. There are many things I wish I knew from the start our of journey but I can say it is better late than never. Our son is 10 years old now and even though we will continue to face challenges I will continue to do what I can to provide him with all of the support he needs to succeed. If in the coming weeks and months you find this helpful, then please let me know and I will continue to share because I know there were so many times over the years that I felt like I was failing in some way. Now, I realize that somethings are just hard and we do the best we can with what we’ve got at that moment. Wishing everyone a Happy New Year Day and hopefully I get this up and running before midnight!
